Brian Mayo

Brian Mayo embarked on his career as a computer professional in 1997, working for a small software company that developed its own point-of-sale/bookkeeping software for gift shops. His keen interest in computers stemmed from the beginnings of online games, which became increasingly popular in the early Windows 95 days. From there, Brian began upgrading hardware as more visually demanding games came onto the market and developed an interest in networking computers together when he landed his first job building networks for the POS system software.

In 1999, Brian went on to work for a local franchise of the Computer Land chain, working under senior engineers on large projects, including a wide-area network for a local school system and other various networks for small businesses. During this time, Brian completed CompTIAs certification system for A+ Core, A+ OS and Network+. His interest in setting up and supporting networks for small businesses became his focus during these years.

Brian's interest in the various aspects of networks for small businesses brought him to several technical forums on the Internet. With the fast pace of technology in computers, schools are often behind, and tech forums offer the latest information. His contributions at several well-known tech sites earned him the Microsoft MPV award in 2007 and 2008.

Brian signed on with Dynamic Alliance in 2003, where he continued to grow his expertise in implementing and managing computer technology networks for the small to medium business.

Brian's favorite aspects of the job include converting a business's technology from old fashioned on prem servers, to modern Microsoft 365 services. "Layered Security" is a primary focus in setting up networks, as well as cutting edge backup/disaster recovery. Brian holds certifications from Ubiquiti for their wireless network hardware and is constantly updating his Microsoft 365 skills through Microsoft's evolving 365 courses and certifications.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys restoring and riding old Harley Davidsons, boating, cooking, and traveling with his wife.
