Dave Hassler started his career in the computer field in 1986, with his first job in
a small retail store in East Hartford CT. This entry level job included troubleshooting
and repairs on some of the industry's first personal computers like the IBM PC/XT. DOS
was the current operating system at the time and Windows OS was just around the corner.
This first job offered him lots of training to keep up with the fast-paced technology.
Dave then changed employment to a bigger retail store in the area and went from being an in-house technician to an onsite technician repairing and maintaining computers in the greater Hartford area. At that time, laser printers were the up-and-coming technology and printer technicians were in high demand. To meet the needs of his employer, he was sent to many printer repair classes, where he received numerous certificates of authorization.
In the early 90's, Dave's employer relocated his job to Groton where he became senior printer tech. During this time, he received his CompTIA A+ certification and many Hewlett Packard LaserJet certifications. He also was sent to many Compaq/HP computer technology repair courses and received the proper certifications for his company.
In 2004, Dave joined DA where he continues to work on business printers as well as computers. He specializes in maintaining and repairing business class workstations and Hewlett Packard laser printers. He enjoys working with the public and finds servicing PC's and printers a challenging and rewarding career.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys hanging out with his family, playing guitar, gardening and spending time in a deer stand.
